Network Network Configurations

In enterprise environments, maintaining seamless communication between applications and their services is crucial for efficient operations. For organizations using the Workfellow Plug-In, it is essential to allow-list specific endpoints used by the application to ensure uninterrupted functionality. As your IT department is responsible for managing network traffic and security settings, this article aims to guide them through the process of unblocking the necessary URLs. Additionally, we will explain how the Workfellow Network Tester can be used to verify the connection to these endpoints, ensuring that the Workfellow Plug-In can securely communicate with its services using HTTPS.

Please note that all Workfellow communications use HTTPS to ensure a secure connection.

Endpoints to Unblock

To maintain proper functionality, please unblock the following endpoints on your firewall or proxy server:

  1. Unified backend server: https://agent-api.workfellow.com

  2. Updates server: https://downloads.workfellow.com

  3. Dashboard access: https://app.workfellow.com

The port used is the default https port 443.

Unblocking Endpoints

The process of unblocking the endpoints depends on your network infrastructure and security settings. Typically, you can unblock URLs through your firewall or proxy server configuration. If you are unsure how to perform this task, please consult your IT administrator or the documentation for your specific firewall or proxy server.

Using Workfellow Network Tester

After unblocking the necessary endpoints, you can use the Workfellow Network Tester to ensure a successful connection. The Workfellow Network Tester periodically sends requests to these endpoints to verify that the connection is working correctly.

Conclusion

By unblocking the specified endpoints and using the Workfellow Network Tester to verify the connection, you will ensure the seamless operation of the Workfellow Plug-In. If you encounter any issues or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our support team.
