Student Experience

The Transfer Credit solution initiates when students submit their transcripts and involves the following tasks:

Submit Transcripts

Objective: To collect academic records from students for evaluation.

Steps:

  1. Students gather their transcripts, which contain detailed information about the courses they have completed, grades received, and any other pertinent academic data.

  2. These documents are uploaded through the institution’s online portal, where they are stored securely for further analysis.

Verify Courses

Objective: To automatically evaluate the student’s uploaded documents and map them against the institution’s course offerings.

Steps:

  1. Transcript data is analyzed, identifying key details such as course titles, credit hours, and grades.

  2. The system then compares these details with the institution’s database of courses and programs to determine potential equivalencies or matches.

Pick Majors

Objective: To generate a report that shows the student how their credits can be applied toward different degree programs.

Steps:

  1. Based on the analysis, the system produces a report that lists all relevant degree programs that align with the student’s previous coursework.

  2. This report is designed to give the student a clear view of their academic pathway at the new institution, helping them make an informed decision about transferring.

Review Your Options

Objective: Students can review all their selections and make changes if needed.

Steps:

  1. View a list of majors that match current credentials.

  2. Click on a major to view details.

Apply

Objective: Enter final details and submit the application.

Steps:

  1. Students perform a final review of the application.

  2. Select the intended start dates.

  3. The report and the student’s academic information are automatically routed to the relevant departments within the institution.

  4. Notifications are sent to faculty or staff responsible for reviewing transfer credits.

  5. The student may receive updates about the status of their transfer application and any further actions they need to take.
