  1. Grant Radar 1.0

Overview

The Grant Radar solution is designed to help colleges and universities streamline the process of identifying and applying for research grants. The key objectives are:

  • Focus unmatched grants by default through the Grants Dashboard.

  • Automatically identify relevant grant opportunities for researchers.

  • Match grants to suitable primary investigators.

  • Assist in proposal development and submission tracking.

  • Provide insights into grant application status and funding allocation.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Grant Radar solution involves the following roles and responsibilities:

Researchers are faculty members, principal investigators (PIs), and co-investigators (Co-PIs) who are actively involved in research projects. Their primary objective is to secure funding, collaborate with research teams, and submit high-quality grant proposals. The solution provides tools to help them discover relevant funding opportunities, manage proposal development, and track their applications.

They view only assigned opportunities and complete proposal development tasks.

The Executives Users (Vice Presidents, Deans, etc.) oversee the university’s research strategy and funding efforts. They are responsible for high-level decision-making, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and tracking institutional funding trends. The system provides analytics, dashboards, and reports to help these executives make strategic decisions about grant applications and research investments.

They manually assign unmatched opportunities; sees full summary of all opportunities.

Administrators oversee the technical configuration and operational maintenance of the solution. They are responsible for ensuring that the system retrieves the latest funding opportunities, researcher profiles are up to date, and grant matching is optimized. Administrators play a key role in managing system performance and ensuring compliance with institutional policies.
